Aquatics
 
The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Aquatics Division provides residents and visitors of the District with safe, well-maintained aquatic facilities and programs that offer a diversified and comprehensive scope of water related activities.  These services are offered to the community through clear leadership and direction from DPR Aqautic staff and partnerships.

DPR is now accepting applications from those interested in working as certified American Red Cross lifeguards during Summer 2008.  Free training, which includes conditioning exercises and the American Red Cross lifeguard training course, will be provided for new DPR lifeguards.  All applicants must be 15 years of age or older.
